We look back to a long history in biopharmaceuticals development and manufacturing. We’ve been one of the first companies in Europe which invested in large-scale facilities for manufacturing of biopharmaceutical medicines. With the growing need for such therapies in the late 1990‘s we started to offer our expertise as a contract manufacturing partner to external customers – now known under the brand Boehringer Ingelheim BioXcellence™. Since then, we’ve continuously widened our production network and opened facilities in Fremont, CA, US as well as Shanghai, China.
With services focused on mammalian and microbial technologies, Boehringer Ingelheim BioXcellence™ today is a major contract manufacturing organization.
