Finance & Controlling
The two-year Management Trainee Program in Finance & Controlling gives you the opportunity to explore the various work areas of Finance, Controlling, and Global Business Services in the form of three- to five-month job rotations. The majority of rotations will take place in Germany (at the group headquarters in Ingelheim and optionally at the Biberach location). As part of the program, you will also complete one rotation at an international location. You will be looked after by a colleague from the department and a personal mentor from top management for the entire duration of the program
As a management trainee, you will be active both in day-to-day operations as well as new projects. You may, for example, support the planning and reporting process in global / local controlling. Your tasks could also include the calculation of business cases that help managers make strategic decisions. In a rotation in the Global Business Services Center, you will facilitate the introduction of global processes at various locations. You will also participate in the improvement and digitization of existing processes.
The aim of the Finance & Controlling Management Trainee Program is to prepare you for possible future management positions at BI. Your personal development is always at the heart of the program. In this you will be supported both within and beyond the rotations. You will therefore usually work with managers, independently manage sub-projects, and present the results in committees. The rotation at an international location will give you the chance to work with different cultures and experience other ways of working. In addition, the program provides the opportunity to develop soft skills by participating in seminars and exchanging ideas regularly within the trainee circle and with their mentor. You will furthermore gain insight into the various specialist areas of the financial organization. In this way, you will be able to build up a cross-functional network and be optimally prepared for your further career at BI.
Successful candidates have completed a master's degree or a comparable degree with good academic performance. You should also have first practical experience in accounting, controlling or finance. An international station as part of your studies or an internship abroad will further aid your application. You should be motivated and open to other cultures, accept challenges and deliver impressive results even under demanding circumstances. Good English and communication skills as well as an analytical mindset complete your profile.
Recruitment for the program takes place once a year. Please check the Boehringer Ingelheim Job Portal for current listings.
