The Global Quality Management Trainee program gives you the opportunity to get to know various Quality and related functions within Boehringer Ingelheim. This may include local, divisional, and global tasks and projects. The program is based at the company’s headquarters in Ingelheim, Germany. As part of the program, it is also possible (but not mandatory) to complete an international assignment.
As a Trainee in Global Quality, you have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive overview across several departments. You may for example support global strategic projects as well as local quality topics (e.g., in quality assurance or quality control), depending on your academic qualification and interests. Throughout the program, you will gain insights in many important areas and will be given more and more responsibility as you progress. A mentor and experienced colleagues will support you, and you will be directly involved in daily business activities and work on tasks within different projects. By the end of your traineeship, you will be ideally prepared to take on the challenges of working in the pharmaceutical industry.
Besides your daily work you are part of the BI DISCOVER Trainee Circle during the whole postgraduate program. You will meet fellow trainee colleagues from various other Boehringer Ingelheim departments and built-up a cross-functional network to be optimally prepared for your potential future career at BI. Together with your trainee peers, you will have the opportunity to work on your soft skills and personal growth by participating in seminars and organizing several events on your own.
Candidates are required to have a master’s degree or diploma in life sciences, engineering or similar, preferably with a PhD or initial GxP experience. International experience is preferred and very good written as well as spoken language skills in German and English are required. Ideally, you are a strong team player, have good communication skills and show resilience and self-initiative. Project management skills, IT affinity and experience with Office 365, especially SharePoint and PowerPoint are advantageous.
