Boehringer Ingelheim opened a new Technical Support Center for Veterinary Equipment in Russia
The avian division of the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health business in Russia opened a new Technical Support Center for veterinary equipment. The official opening in Moscow took place on 18 July 2018.
The Center occupies an area of 144,3 square meters and is equipped with all the necessary technical means for testing, adjusting, repairing, restoring, and storing equipment, as well as for its washing and sanitizing. The site contains a room designed for equipment operation presentations for poultry technicians who are customers of the company.
At the moment, there are about 450 devices in service; another 55 new ZooTech machines equipped with two syringes will be delivered in soon. In addition, Center’s technicans have already received more than 10 requests from Russian enterprises for new and previously operated equipment.
"The new center will increase the sales of poultry vaccines, since about 70 per cent of our preparations are used during maintenance of equipment provided by Boehringer Ingelheim," shares Vincent Boue, Head of the Animal Health Department at Boehringer Ingelheim in Russia. “This is another step for the development of our poultry business in Russia. The next stage is commissioning of new In – Ovo chicken embryo vaccination equipment. Its launch will enable us to move to a higher level when working with clients, and establish partnership with large poultry enterprises across the country."
At the moment, Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Business Unit rents out veterinary equipment to more than 30 large poultry farms in Russia.
The company pays considerable attention to the development of new preparations to prevent poultry diseases, reducing morbidity. Company experts help poultry enterprises develop the most economically and practically efficient for each bird species vaccination schemes, taking into account particular conditions of farms, including equipment operation to improve vaccine prophylaxis quality.
