Sustainable cooperation
By working with our suppliers to promote responsible behavior, we aim to minimize risks and create stable long-term relationships. For this reason, we do not focus exclusively on traditional priorities such as quality, cost and delivery capability when selecting suppliers. We strive to choose business partners who share our social and environmental values and recognize our safety culture. These factors play an increasingly important role in the integration, selection and qualification of suppliers and include risk-based environmental health and safety (EHS) audits.
We expect our contractors and other third parties working on our premises to comply with our EHS requirements. Contractors must ensure and demonstrate full compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. They must also comply with all site-specific EHS requirements. Contractors must also ensure that their employees and subcontractors are trained in accordance with Boehringer Ingelheim's EHS procedures and requirements.
Our freight forwarders must be experienced in international cargo transport of pharmaceuticals and have very good contacts in the destination countries. Adherence to delivery dates and reliability in handling are a matter of course for us.
Our overland transports to Eastern Europe/Asia are to be carried out without exception with appropriately equipped thermo trucks.
