COVID-19: Volunteering for good causes in Spain

Three Boehringer Ingelheim España employees have stepped forward to help out during the COVID-19 pandemic

Some of Boehringer Ingelheim Spain employees have demonstrated their solidarity in the era of COVID-19.  They have got involved in a range of voluntary initiatives, such as making facemasks and face shields and handing out medicinal products.

Rosa, Mireia and Carmen are three Boehringer collaborators who have been lending a hand in their respective towns, but in a rather different way.

Mireia has manufactured 3D-printed face shields and sent them to local pharmacies, hospitals and nursing homes.  Each shield took around 3 hours to make, and she had her printer running 24 hours a day.

Rosa, on the other hand, has sewn over 30,000 facemasks for nurses at the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Valencia. This initiative is run in conjunction with the Costura Camp de Turia workshop.

Carmen has also shown her most supportive side, delivering medicines every morning to the homes of at-risk patients who needed them.

There's no doubt that these small schemes are a big help at this time.

Congratulations to all three of you!
