Medicine & Regulatory
I love knowing that what I do makes a difference for patients and for their families. I'm a Senior Global Clinical Programme Leader in Clinical Development. My job is to connect everything together and work with all the different stakeholders across all the different departments, like regulatory, PV, and also clinical operations to make sure each step is working as it should be.
When I did my biology degree, I realized I really liked human physiology. It seemed like a natural step to move into medical training and leverage my interests in a way that I can help people. So joining Pharma meant and joining Boehringer Ingelheim specifically allowed me to take greater responsibility and have greater impact. And in my current job, it means that I can bring development all the way through to marketing authorization and potentially help millions of patients around the world.
The aspect I enjoy the most of my job at the moment, I think are related to the ability to teamwork and be collaborative across functions. There are so many people involved, so many teams that support.
There's a lot of opportunity here at Boehringer Ingleheim for development. There's a lot of opportunity to move internationally and the company supports your ambition to develop and progress as far as you wish. For me, it gave me the opportunity to support multiple different products that can help patients across multiple different disease areas, and it allowed me to feel like I'm being developed and valued and really respected for my experience and my skills.
When I look at the clinical development pipeline and the way the company approaches development, it seems to me that we're looking in the future and knowing that we can bring a new molecule all the way through to prevent disease is just a humbling experience.
