Real stories, real impact: fighting rabies

How personal experiences are driving the global fight to stop rabies. From the frontlines of prevention to the heart of communities, these are the stories of people making a difference in the mission to eliminate this deadly disease.

This World Rabies Day, we’re highlighting the often-overlooked danger of rabies and the urgent need for global action. The heart-wrenching story of a widow, who lost her husband to this entirely preventable disease serves as an important reminder of the personal and unnecessary tragedy that is caused by rabies. Our colleague Judith Masika in Kenya shares our commitment, through our “Stop Rabies” initiative, to help eliminate rabies via education, vaccination, and efforts to raise better awareness of the disease. However, fully eliminating rabies and improving lives worldwide requires collective action. No one can achieve this, alone.

Join us in the fight to end rabies, once and for all!
