Always Here – Our Commitment for Ukraine

Our Commitment Since March 2022 

Boehringer Ingelheim has actively supported Ukrainian civilians throughout the Russian invasion. We have committed to financial and product donations of nearly 50 million EUR, helping 328,000 Ukrainians over the past year alone. 

Supporting Ukrainian Communities 

In 2023, the German and Ukrainian Red Cross Societies, with our support, reached over 215,000 individuals through: 

• 19 mobile health units treating over 51,000 patients. 

• Home-based care programs. 

• Mental health support for over 14,000 people. 

• Cash and supermarket vouchers for 27,000 people. 

• Generators and heaters for over 11,000 people.  

Conflict-Related Relief Efforts 

Our funding has enabled critical relief, including: 

• Restoration of a hospital damaged by shelling. 

• Reconstruction of a shelter in Dnipro. 

• Rescue operations during the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam emergency.  

Extending Our Reach to Poland 

Through the Red Cross, we have supported over 113,000 people in Poland: 

• Social integration of refugees. 

• Two new humanitarian aid centers at the Polish-Ukrainian border. 

• A mental health and psychosocial support Infoline. 

• Medical vouchers for nearly 10,000 vulnerable individuals.  

Supporting Children's Health 

In Ukraine, we collaborated with 'Tabletochki' to boost resources at the National Children's Specialized Hospital 'Okhmatdit', providing essential medications and by supporting crucial immunotherapy initiatives.  

Empowering Healthcare Professionals 

We support Ukraine's healthcare community by hosting webinars led by leading cardiologists, with all registration fees donated to the Ukrainian Small Animal Veterinary Association (USAVA). We are proud of our colleagues within Ukraine and outside who strive to deliver care.  

In the face of ongoing challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to make a difference where it matters most.
