Innovation through Collaboration

Pharmaceutical manufacturers and healthcare professionals are in regular contact to learn from each other and improve patient care. Through this continuous dialogue, drug manufacturers like us at Boehringer Ingelheim can use findings from practice for their own research work. At the same time, of course, it is about providing healthcare professionals with treatment options and patient programs, among other things.

In dialogue with each other

The exchange between pharmaceutical manufacturers and healthcare professionals takes place on four levels.1 The individual parties exchange information in consultation meetings (level 1) or on other occasions for discussion (level 2). They also share their knowledge at congresses or other events (level 3) and on the advisory boards of companies (level 4).

Together for improvement

Drug manufacturers and healthcare professionals collaborate in a variety of ways. These include, for example, sharing best clinical practices, designing and implementing clinical trials, and providing patient programs. The individual parties are also working to increase awareness of prevention, diagnosis and treatment issues. Thus, they are working together for the future of clinical research.

Together for patients

Cooperation between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals serves to continuously improve medical care. It thus benefits patients first and foremost. They benefit above all from the development of new therapies that help to improve their quality of life or even cure them of their disease.
