Carreras de datos
I'm a data scientist in operations, specifically in the launch and innovation organization. We are very close to the R&D. That's the innovation unit of the business. These are the people who discover the molecules, develop the molecules, and then they try to implement the launch process.
We are also close to the other end of the business, the folks who actually manufacture these molecules. We are in the middle. So that's a very nice place to be because you get to listen to both points of the business.
I worked in classical development, as opposed for three years. After one year, I came up with an idea. I pitched the idea and then the management liked it. Then they gave me people, led this team for about two and a half years, or close to two years.
I was approached from the operation side of things and they said, "Okay, we are trying to create something new, more like a small unit in operations, to [inaudible 00:01:18] the science modeling, but very close to the manufacturing plants."
The emphasis on innovation, I think that was clearly demonstrated in my story. Because you could see that someone who is here for two years and you say, "Oh, this is value. We don't care where you're from, we don't care how long you spend here, but we believe in this value this innovative idea, and we will support you."
So it's really active supporting of ideas. From the first time I interviewed with Boehringer Ingelheim, I really felt loved, valued as a person. They really make you feel at home.
