Boehringer Ingelheim Academy
Our Grass Roots activities are centered around developing a personal relationship with the companies we work with. And our Academy sessions provide an informal opportunity for early-stage life-science companies to network with other bio-entrepreneurs as well as hear from Boehringer Ingelheim business development, scientific and commercial leaders and some of our partners and key opinion leaders.
This unique program was developed as an outreach initiative to the entrepreneurial and scientific community in life-science hotspots around the world to facilitate conversations both with Boehringer Ingelheim and across the innovation community.
More than 1,000 delegates have participated since the program started in 2016. The program provides:
- Informal networking environment for early-stage life-science companies and bio-entrepreneurs
- Content on current topics of interest in an interactive setting
- Multi-disciplinary panel discussion approach garners views from Boehringer Ingelheim business development, scientific and commercial leaders, as well as partners and key opinion leaders
Topics have included:
- How deals are transacted from search and evaluation through business development, term sheet development, negotiations and execution.
- What makes a company attractive from both a collaboration and investment perspective.
- Accessing capital and the different paths to financing
