With More Health, Boehringer Ingelheim renews its commitment to collaborations that improve the lives of people and animals in disadvantaged communities and focus on the role of health in economic development. Through initiatives under this sustainability pillar, we provide education on disease, prevention and health management, and explore new therapeutic options, processes and models that address existing and emerging medical challenges. A focus here is on improving access and availability of healthcare solutions around the world, ensuring the effectiveness of our engagement. Accordingly, the More Health pillar not only contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals "Health and Wellbeing" (Goal 3), "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" (Goal 9) and "Partnerships to Achieve the Goals" (Goal 17) - they also support cross-cutting goals such as "No Poverty," "No Hunger" and "Gender Equality."

Alle Menschen verdienen einen Zugang zu Gesundheitsversorgung. Deswegen haben wir uns dazu verpflichtet, 50 Millionen Menschen in benachteiligten Communities zu erreichen und zu unterstützen. Dabei bauen wir auf bewährte und erfolgreiche Initiativen auf, die seit über einem Jahrzehnt dabei helfen, die Gesundheit und das Wohlbefinden von Menschen und Tieren zu verbessern.

Bekämpfung von nicht übertragbaren Krankheiten (NCDs)
Nicht übertragbare Krankheiten (NCDs) sind weltweit die häufigste Todesursache. Als globales Pharmaunternehmen können wir bei der Diagnose, Früherkennung und Behandlung von NCDs einen entscheidenden Beitrag leisten. Daher werden wir bis 2030 35 Milliarden Euro in Innovationen im NCD-Bereich investieren, welche die Lebensqualität und Gesundheit von Menschen auf der ganzen Welt verbessern sollen.

Bekämpfung von Infektionskrankheiten bei Menschen und Tieren.
Wir investieren 250 Millionen Euro in Kollaborationen und Partnerschaften zur gezielten Bekämpfung neu auftretender Infektionskrankheiten in der Human- und Tiermedizin.

Unterstützung von Versorgungs- und Lebensmittelsicherheit
Lebensmittelknappheit ist nach wie vor eine kritische Herausforderung, von der 821 Millionen Menschenleben weltweit betroffen sind. Unser Geschäftsbereich Tiergesundheit spielt durch seinen Beitrag bei der Prävention und Behandlung von Nutztieren eine bedeutende Rolle bei der Sicherung der globalen Versorgungs- und Lebensmittelsicherheit.
