FOYA 2020 – Facility of the Year Award
In 2020, our OASIS commercial manufacturing site in Shanghai was singled out for an honorable mention by the judges of the ISPE Facility of the Year Awards. The panel was particularly impressed by the site’s remarkable capability to tailor itself to customer needs:
“OASIS is designed to fulfill a maximum degree of flexibility: this includes a modular approach to fit out distinct manufacturing modules sequentially and implementing a single-use bioreactor design to react to various customer needs.
They also noted that our commitment to meeting increasing needs for life-saving medication included not just building a new facility, but also working with local government to change regulations.
ISO certification in 2021 - ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
2021 saw our Regional Center Vienna achieve dual ISO recognition for its integrated management system. A robust and practical process for continuous improvement in two vital areas was rewarded with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
International Biopharma Industry Week 2022: Digital Transformation Pioneer Enterprise
The following year, our BioChina site in Shanghai was recognized as a ‘Pioneer enterprise for the digital transformation of the biopharmaceutical industry’ – just one of the ways in which we are breaking new ground in China.
CDMO Leadership Award 2023
And in 2023, Boehringer Ingelheim BioXcellence™ swept the board at the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMO) Leadership awards. Quality, Reliability, Service, Expertise, Compatibility, and Capabilities; in every category, BioXcellence was recognized as Champion.
The most important recognition
We’re proud of our awards, and grateful to the judges who gave them to us. For us, though, the recognition that matters most is the trust that our customers place in us – trust hard-won by decades of dedication to quality, innovation, and reliable supply to patients. Perhaps we can’t keep our international reputation in a trophy cabinet, but we always keep it at the front of our minds.
