Championing for people with all abilities

Our people are at the heart of all that we do. They make it possible to address the unmet medical needs of the communities we serve and make scientific discoveries that transform human and animal health. Every diverse background brings unique perspectives to our company, which is why we put such an emphasis on our disability inclusion journey.

We carryout practices to help make the workplace better for everyone, including:

  • An employee-focused business resource group that leads with empathy and celebrates diversity of abilities of all our employees.
  • Allies who support people with disabilities and identify designated safe spaces to wait for assistance in case of emergencies while on site.
  • Digital and physical accessibility at our sites and for remote workers, such as assistive technology, ergonomic equipment, and visual and audible fire alarm systems.
  • Inclusive talent recruitment that seeks to welcome people of all backgrounds, help them learn new skills, and ensure they have equal opportunities to pursue their goals.

As a result of these efforts, we were given a top score for Disability:IN’s “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion”. This is the sixth consecutive year that we’ve received this recognition. It empowers our teams to continue to support one another and maintain an environment that’s inclusive, accessible, and equitable for people living with visible and non-visible disabilities.

“We are all unique and bring valuable ideas to the table. Our individual uniqueness is what makes inclusion so powerful in how we do business, have a space where people can thrive, and progress forward in helping keep animals, humans, and the planet healthy,” said Rafael Fantauzzi, our chief diversity and inclusion officer.
