Our Mission
Boehringer Ingelheim, founded in 1885 by Albert Boehringer in Ingelheim, Germany, began with just 28 people employed to manufacture tartaric acid salts. Now, more than 130 years later, the company operates globally with 145 affiliates and more than 52,000 employees serve over 130 markets. Since its founding, the privately-held company has been committed to researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing novel treatments for human and veterinary medicine.
