Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Boehringer Ingelheim’s only US Biopharmaceutical manufacturing site represents the company’s history as a biotechnology pioneer. Fremont, California, is the home of Boehringer Ingelheim’s rapidly growing US Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit. With a diverse team of over 600 people, and with over 35 years of experience, we cover biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing from small scale to commercial, from drug substance manufacturing to fill/finish, packaging, and medical device assembly.

To date, Boehringer Ingelheim’s Biopharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing business has supported our customers to bring 40 biologics to the market – three in 2020 alone – in therapeutic areas that include oncology, immunology and cardiovascular indications.
