Introducing the 3FLEX® 250-Dose Option and New Vaccine Mixing Procedures
The FLEX Family™ of vaccines continues to provide options for customized control against major swine respiratory disease.

To help producers and veterinarians reach optimal pig performance with greater convenience, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (BIVI) now offers a 250-dose option for the 3FLEX® trivalent vaccine.
3FLEX® continues to provide customized control against porcine circovirus Type 2 (PCV2), porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, by combining the protection of three leading products — Ingelvac PRRS® MLV, Ingelvac CircoFLEX® and Ingelvac MycoFLEX® — in one application.
“Extensive research studies show lack of interference between antigens in 3FLEX® vaccines; which means we can confidently mix and administer these three single dose products within 3FLEX® and expect consistent safety and efficacy.” says Eduardo Fano, DVM, technical manager for BIVI. “This gives pigs a high level of disease protection to reduce incidences of co-infections and increase performance.”
He adds that new 250-dose units add to the convenience of using the vaccine for customers, especially those with larger systems. A 50-dose option is also available.
New Mixing Procedures
BIVI is also updating the packaging of existing product presentations to streamline the mixing and administration process of the FLEX Family™ of swine vaccines. The new mixing process will provide a consistent method in mixing and administering the entire FLEX Family™ of swine vaccines.
This process will be introduced with the launch of the new 250-dose presentations of 3FLEX® and Ingelvac PRRS® MLV, which includes:
- New vented transfer spike allows for easy, no mess mixing.
- New packaging changes the mixing bottle from glass to plastic, benefiting the environment and reducing packaging waste.
- New FLEX Family™ Mixing Guide includes instructions.
