Cristian Torreblanca Estrada is a Corporate GFE Senior Manager Controller in Germany – with plans for growth across the global business.

I joined Boehringer Ingelheim Mexico as a trainee in 2012, because I wanted to start my professional career and development in a top multinational company. Today I lead financial projects, create business cases and carry out financial planning preparation.

Moving up and on

This is my second position in Corporate so, for now, I need to focus on the new challenges ahead. In the mid-term, though, I see myself moving to another country to keep building the experience that I’ve been accumulating since I joined Boehringer Ingelheim – and providing added value to the company. I’m looking forward to participating in new projects, getting to know new colleagues and new topics, and seeing how this helps me to grow personally and professionally.

Learning from everybody

One of the things I most enjoy is the interaction with colleagues from different countries and departments. I learn every day from all of them, whether it’s a chat over a virtual coffee or in a complex financial discussion. The environment of collaboration between colleagues is very distinctive – and so is the way that the company takes care of employees through the various programs and benefits.

What’s the best thing about working for Boehringer Ingelheim?

The variety of professional development opportunities to move between different professional areas and countries.
