肺纖維化 Pulmonary Fibrosis

肺纖維化是一種導致肺部出現瘢痕組織增加的情況。隨著時間過去，肺部將失去吸氧和將氧氣運送到血液的能力。出現症狀時將嚴重地影響一個人日常活動的能力，甚至可能威脅到生命。肺纖維化可能會逐漸惡化，它屬於所謂的間質肺疾病群，是一種影響連接肺部之間結締組織的疾病。

Pulmonary fibrosis is a condition leading to a build-up of scar tissue in the lungs. Over time, the lungs lose their ability to take in and transfer oxygen into the bloodstream. This leads to symptoms that significantly affect a person’s ability to perform daily activities and can even be life-threatening. Pulmonary fibrosis can be progressive and is a disorder affecting the connective tissue in-between the lungs. Pulmonary fibrosis belongs to a group of so-called interstitial lung diseases.
