Championing minds for generations both in and out of the workplace

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are especially proud to announce that Boehringer Ingelheim is now certified for Mental Health America’s (MHA) Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health! The national certification program recognizes employers committed to proactively creating mentally healthy workplaces. According to MHA, 46 percent of Americans will meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition sometime in their life, and half of those people will develop conditions by the age of 14. With these shocking statistics in mind, Boehringer continues to welcome employee feedback about the mental health services and support they need to maintain a supportive and welcoming workplace and allow all employees to thrive.

It is especially meaningful to receive this award during Mental Health Awareness Month and close to World Schizophrenia Day. In May and beyond, we aspire to transform mental health care by going beyond traditional treatment approaches to alleviate the burden on people living with serious mental illnesses, their care partners, loved ones, and society.  We have an innovative pipeline that aims to ease the burden of a variety of serious mental illnesses.
