Connecting our employees to nonprofits that help people around the world

In February, we launched a new online platform, called Skills2Give, to help our employees volunteer virtually in the communities where they live and work. The platform, which was created in partnership with Catchafire, offers employees an easy way to connect with nonprofits that are providing critical services to communities, match volunteer activities with their skills and causes they care about, and share their expertise to help advance a nonprofit’s mission.

Just two months in to offering the online tool, nearly 500 employees have joined Skills2Give to donate their time and professional skills, whether that’s business strategy, human resources, IT, or marketing. Encouraging our employees to volunteer is a part of our culture and our commitment to making a lasting impact on the people and animals we serve.

“I’m an early adopter of Skills2Give and had the opportunity to work with the nonprofit, Not One More Vet (NOMV), whose mission is to transform the status of mental wellness so veterinary professionals can survive and thrive through education, resources, and support,” said Jamie Eden, our Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Communications.

“I volunteered for a one-hour consultation call to provide guidance for NOMV’s question of how to set up a human resources function, including how to develop new policies. It felt really good to have done something to be helpful for this nonprofit to contribute to furthering their cause.”

We are continually inspired by our employees’ drive, compassion, and generosity to help make the world a better place. Whether they’re working to keep people and animals healthy or spending time giving back, our employees are focused on transforming lives today and for generations to come.

Encouraging volunteerism at our company connects to the ‘More Potential’ efforts of our
Sustainable Development – For Generations (SD4G) Strategy, which is our commitment to continue providing good health for people and animals, the planet, and society that meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future.
