An Employee’s Commitment to Ensuring Access to Medicines
Working for Cures recently named one of our employees, Deb Reardon, a ‘2022 Employee Champion’. This award recognizes professionals who work to advance science and innovation to help patients receive the care they need and deserve.
Deb, who leads access solutions at our company, was named alongside 11 others in the industry for going above and beyond for patients. She focuses her efforts on advancing public policy to help improve access to affordable, life-enhancing medicines and to ensure we effectively contribute to a value-driven healthcare system. Deb and her colleagues help us strive to make it possible to:
- Keep out-of-pocket costs affordable for our medicines
- Offer support to the communities we serve through copay assistance, rebates, and discounts
According to her peers, Deb’s “ability to simply translate complicated schematics has been invaluable in educating and engaging diverse stakeholders on some of the industry’s most pressing policy fronts.”
Since joining Boehringer Ingelheim in 2012, Deb has worked in a variety of roles helping to bring new innovative medicines to market. In her current role, she leads the development of our patient support programs. She also has been working on policy issues associated with copay accumulator bans to reinforce the need for copay benefits for patients.
“I’m honored to be named for progressing healthcare policy that helps bring more affordable medicines to patients and aims to enhance health outcomes today and for generations to come,” said Deb.
